Staedtler presents “3Dsigner” at Insights-X

Staedtler’s “3Dsigner” was seen for the first time at Insights-X. From 2016, Staedtler will offer its customers writing instruments that are designed with motifs and lettering according to customer ideas. In 2016, the company will bring a new product programme onto the market that includes a ballpoint pen and a fountain pen for left and right handers, which can be individually designed on the app.

Customers have the choice between two different design lines, which are the basis for an individual design of the pen by 3D printer. The technology allows individual products to be produced in a short time, which has the potential to become a favourite pen.

“Staedtler uses the advantages of the innovative 3D printing process in order to make the customers into designers themselves. With the 3Dsigner writing instruments, everyone can create a pen according to their own taste,” claims Erna Müller, head of Corporate Communications at Staedtler.
