German association fails to back Paperworld concept
The proposed Hall 3.1 at Messe Frankfurt will be closed during Paperworld 2016 after not enough members of trade association PBS-Markenindustrie gave their support to a common exhibiting area.
Matthias Schumacher, director of International Sales at tesa and Horst Bubenzer, manager of Office Gold Club, were visibly disappointed that the idea had not succeeded.
The new concept required at backing from at least 20 members of the union. The concept received only 11 registrations.
Cordelia von Gymnich, vice-president Consumer Goods & Leisure Messe Frankfurt, is still convinced of the value of the pioneering concept, and are aiming to have it in place by 2018.
