UK dealer Group Office Club has announced an update following the unexpected passing away of MD Mark Austen last month.
The Austen family is keen to ensure the smooth continuation of Office Club’s plans and has temporarily involved founder Office Club member, friend of the family and experienced MD of independent dealer Wiles Greenworld, Peter Duncan.
Duncan will be overseeing the process that is looking at ensuring the company structure is in place going forward, and his initial brief will also include advice, support and guidance for Office Club staff and members alike.
Allison Fishlock will continue to head up the day-to-day operations of Office Club with Keith Lacey heading up the direct contact support and business development for all members within the group, both supported by the experienced team.
Duncan says: “Having spent some time with the team, it is very apparent that the day-to-day running of Office Club continues seamlessly, with roles and responsibilities already in place to cover all activities and offer all stakeholders maximum support.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Allison and Keith on the company strategy going forward, ensuring that Office Club remains current within the industry and continues to be one of the leaders when it comes to providing dealers with purchasing opportunities and marketing initiatives.
“This feels so right to me. I grew up seeing first-hand the strengths dealer groups offer, watching my dad form the first ever group in the toy trade. This inspired me in the 1980s to form Graphic Dealers Ltd. In 1992 when Mark founded Office Club, I was delighted to offer my support as a founder member. I passionately believe that independent dealers and retailers can offer so much more through the strength of working together with like-minded people,” he says.
